New Covenant Church Gives Out Free Meals to Hospital Staff

CLYDE NC - New Covenant Church (NCC) is excited to announce that we are partnering with local food trucks to provide free meals to Haywood County Hospital workers. On April 19th-21st, the food trucks will be in the parking lot outside of the hospital. Any hospital staff is welcome to enjoy a free meal from one of the food trucks.

This is a part of NCC’s continued effort to help support local businesses and healthcare workers during the pandemic. Such as providing free pizza to the Maggie Valley nursing home staff and letting food trucks park on the church property when NCC had outdoor services.

Emily Christopher, NCC’s communications pastor, said, “we are always looking for creative ideas to give back to the community.” Christopher also mentioned that NCC has planned to give out 350 meals but have preparations if more meals are needed. “Our church is so much bigger than its four walls. It is our entire community and beyond. Feeding healthcare workers who work such long hours was a no-brainer,” Christopher said.

Rain or shine, NCC and the participating food trucks will continue serving our community from April 19th-21st. We look forward to serving our incredible frontline workers.
